Solar Cell Characteristics Testing Apparatus

This experiment uses an iodine-tungsten lamp to simulate sunlight, which irradiates the solar panel to generate electricity. An irradiance meter measures the solar irradiance at different positions, enabling the measurement of output characteristics of the solar cell (three sample types) under illumination. Key parameters such as short-circuit current (ISC), open-circuit voltage (VOC), maximum output power (Pmax), and fill factor (FF) can be determined. The fill factor is an important indicator of solar cell performance.
