ModuSpec Spectral Analysis Kit

Each atom has its own unique energy level structure. During transitions, it absorbs or emits specific spectral lines. By measuring these characteristic lines, the chemical composition and relative content of a substance can be determined, which is called spectral analysis.

This experiment kit uses a cooled halogen tungsten lamp as the reference light source and a miniature fiber optic spectrometer as the detector. By attaching the transmission module, the absorbance of liquids can be measured to calculate solution concentration, or the transmittance of transparent materials, such as filters. With the reflection module attached, the reflection spectrum of a material's surface can be measured, allowing for the calculation of its color parameters.
